As from December 2019, the highly infectious COVID-19 disease (caused by the SARS CoV 2 virus), that emerged in Wuhan, China, spread all over the world leading the World Health Organization to declare the outbreak as a global pandemic in a short time on March 11th, 2020. The outbreak, that impacted all segments of the society, has also laid a burden on water and sewerage administrations to secure the continuity of water and sanitation services.
Based on the feedback from Turkey’s water and sewerage administrations, a summary report is published presenting and evaluating the challenges faced and measures taken by the administrations during the pandemic.
