A technical study tour was organized on 30 May-3 June 2022 to the benefit of the representatives of the institutions responsible for irrigation in Azerbaijan as part of the cooperation between SUEN and the Azerbaijan Office of FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) and with the support of the relevant institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Within the scope of the program organized under the coordination of SUEN, Azerbaijani experts were informed on various irrigation management issues and practices in Türkiye by officials of the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies and the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform.

The delegation also had the opportunity to examine modern irrigation practices on-site as well as the practices of the irrigation unions based in Şanlıurfa and İzmir.
