The second training program between 6-10 January 2020 under the main theme of “wastetwater treatment” has been completed as part of the “Extensive capacity development program for Syrian water engineers in Water, Sanitation and Irrigation sector” program in cooperation with the Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU).

The program covered different lectures from principles and technologies of wastewater (incl. simple treatment techniques) to computer applications in the design of drinking water treatment plants. A detailed field trip was organized to the Paşaköy and Tuzla Advanced Biological Treatment Plants in Istanbul. Participants who successfully completed the course received their certificates of course completion at the end of the program.
