A delegation of the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources of Republic of Ghana attended a 1-week training program related to different water and wastewater subjects which was jointly organized by the Turkish State Hydraulic Works (DSİ), General Directorate of Water Management Cooperation and Turkish Water Institute (SUEN), all under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
The program aimed to share the Turkish knowledge and experience by means of lectures and presentations in river basin management, water quality management, drought and flood management, water legislation and policies, development of water resources, design of piped irrigation systems, master planning in urban water and wastewater management, treatment principles of drinking water and wastewater.
A field trip to the Paşaköy Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant in Istanbul was organized to see in situ good practices in wastewater treatment.
The certificates of course completion were presented to the participants in the presence of SUEN President Prof. Dr. Ahmet M. Saatçı and DSİ 14. Regional Director Dr. Celalettin E. Şengül.
