A group of 13 experts originally from Syria residing in Turkey attended a short course program at the Turkish Water Institute (SUEN) between 16-19 July 2019. Under the main theme of “wastewater treatment”, the engineers received lectures in principles and technologies in wastewater treatment.

The program covered different topics such as treatment of urban wastewaters, wastewater management in rural areas and water quality monitoring. The Paşaköy Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant in Istanbul was visited as part of the program as well.

Participants received their certificates of attendance at the end of the program in the presence SUEN President Dr. Ahmet Saatci.
