Turkish Water Institute (SUEN) carries on the training programs delivered in the form of short courses and study tours. A delegation of 8 experts were at SUEN between 8-13 July 2019, as part of the capacity building program in collaboration with the Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency (TIKA) to the benefit of Palestine Water Authority (PWA).

The program included lectures related to governance and managerial aspects of the water sector. Some topics covered were namely; institutional framework of the water sector, integrated river basin management, master planning, strategic planning, private sector participation and pricing of water services. A field visit was organized to the advanced drinking water and wastewater treatment plants operated by Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKI).

The last day of the program was dedicated to a special session to discuss technical and institutional challenges faced by PWA.

All participants received their certificates of course completion.
