Water JPI, National Workshop for Updating Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) was hosted by SUEN on 7 March 2019. 18 participants representing academia and public institutions assessed the RDI challenges and priorities that will shape the next 10 years of European and Turkish water sectors. The workshop outputs will be shared with the Water JPI Secretariat and will contribute to the SRIA 3.0 document to be updated in the coming months.
Joint Programming Initiatives (JPIs) are intergovernmental entities initiated with the support of the European Commission in order to find solutions to the societal challenges in public health, environment and climate issues through alignment of national research programs and sharing the enhanced benefits of RDI activities. The main activities of Water JPI, whose membership portfolio is largely composed of national research and funding agencies, are to manage multilateral joint project calls, to organize thematic workshops, to establish knowledge hubs and to coordinate between national research programs. The SRIA document serves as a road map for Water JPI activities. For more information on Water JPI and SRIA, please visit http://www.waterjpi.eu/.
