Organizing national and international capacity building programs to contribute to the addressing of global water problems is one of the mandates of Turkish Water Institute (SUEN). To this end, numerous customized programs in the form of short courses were delivered to countries, in particular to those from Africa.

A 1-week short course program and study tour with the central theme of water and wastewater management was organized between 25 February-1 March 2019 for a group from Sudan Khartoum Water Corporation.

The Turkish knowledge and experience were shared with regard to master planning, integrated water resources management, drinking water and wastewater treatment technologies, design of septic tanks. The group had also the chance to visit drinking water and wastewater treatment plants in Istanbul.
