A group of 15 engineers originally from Syria residing in Turkey attended a short course and study tour program at the Turkish Water Institute (SUEN) between 14-18 January 2019. Under the main theme, water and wastewater management in Turkey, the goal of the program was to acquaint and equip the experts with the technologies and good practices in water and wastewater.

The program covered different lectures from master planning to water and wastewater treatment, water quality management and groundwater management. Drinking water and wastewater treatment plants in Istanbul were visited as part of the program as well.

Participants received their certificates of attendance at the end of the program in the presence of Deputy Minister Akif Özkaldı and SUEN President Dr. Ahmet Saatci.
