This report compiles the main messages delivered by the speakers in the thematic sessions and regional meetings of the Europe-INBO 2012 Conference, which discussed the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive, draft of the EU Freshwater Blueprint, implementation of the EU Floods Directive, strategies to face scarcity and drought, economic analysis of the WFD and cost recovery. The report contains the Istanbul Europe-INBO 2012 Declaration adopted at the end of the Conference, as well as the World Pact for Better Basin Management.
