The 2^nd Policy Advisory Committee and 5^th Managing Committee Meetings of “Blue Peace in the Middle East: Regional Cooperation on Water” were held in Dubai on the 27^th of February, 2022 through the coordination of SUEN as the Coordination Office.

The meeting, to discuss the ongoing activities and next phase of the initiative, and organized in cooperation with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), was attended by Prince Hassan Bin Talal of Jordan, Former President of Slovenia Danilo Turk and SUEN President Dr. Ahmet Mete Saatçı and senior representatives from member countries Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey as well as SDC officials.

The details on the completed, ongoing and planned activities undertaken by SUEN as part of the Agricultural Water Use Efficiency project were shared and the key outcomes and recommendations of the report with the title of “Improving agricultural water use efficiency and productivity in the Middle East: Pressures, status, impacts and responses” were presented.
