Seminars on water and wastewater were organized for university students from African countries (Burkina Faso, Chad, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Mali and Uganda) studying in Türkiye. Within the scope of the seminars organized in cooperation with the Friends of Africa Association, experts gave presentations on topics such as drinking water and wastewater characterization and treatment principles, cost-effective drinking water and wastewater treatment techniques suitable for Africa, management of ground waters, rainwater harvesting and importance of safe water to health.

As part of the seminars, specific recommendations for the continent were shared in the discussion sessions with regard to local water and wastewater issues faced in Africa.
