A training was held under the theme of “Practices of Remote Sensing Techniques in Water Management” between 2-4 November 2021.
The training organized by SUEN in cooperation with Istanbul Technical University – Satellite Communications and Remote Sensing Implementation and Research Center (ITU-CSCRS) was attended by different units of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
The training covered below topics:
- Fundamentals of remote sensing
- Sensing systems, satellite orbits, stereo detection
- Application with image processing programs
- Spectral reflectance, digital imaging
- Data and parameters required for the management and planning of water resources by remote sensing
- Active-passive sensing-optics and radar
- Scanning and download services for satellite imagery
- Use of high resolution satellite and UAV data in water resources management
- Resolution types and its importance in data selection
- Remote sensing in the management and planning of water resources - examples from Turkey and the world
