A training on "Transboundary Waters and Water Diplomacy" was held online by SUEN on October 11, 2023.

The GDs of EU and Foreign Relations, State Hydraulic Works, Water Management, Agricultural Research and Policies and Agricultural Reform under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the GDs of Combating Desertification and Erosion, Meteorology and Climate Change under the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change as well as the GD of Energy Affairs under the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources participated in the training.

Following the opening speech by SUEN President Prof. Dr. Lütfi Akca, SUEN Policy Development Coordinator Dr. Tuğba Evrim Maden made a presentation on "Conflicts, Resolution and Cooperation Mechanisms in the Field of Transboundary Waters" and "Current Situation and Developments in the Field of Transboundary Waters". In the second part of the event, SUEN Expert Burcu Çallı gave detailed information on the topic of "The Concept of Water Diplomacy and Current Approaches in Water Diplomacy".
